Hi Liz, thanks for your kind comment on my Substack. I haven’t had the will to write for many months now, although I’m always “on the edge” on publishing the next post. We’ll see when I get around to it.

I’m also on a low inflam-diet due to recovery from my health issues. I wanted to recommend a smoothie in the morning. I am a fussy eater and had to really teach myself to cook healthy meals, but when I’m not feeling up for it, the easiest thing is:

- banana, kale, strawberries, flaxseed, chia seeds, cocoa powder and literally anything else with coconut water blended. Bam. That covers 1-1/2 meals (brunch?) in a healthy easily digestible way.

Sometimes I mix it up with spirulina, beetroot, spinach, yogurt, oat milk etc etc.

The best advice I got from my nutritionist was to adopt a mindset of “what can we add in”, as I am someone that might suffer from dietary “restrictions”, so still let myself have a treat every now and then (the small joys!)

Totally relate to this. I miss feeling like the best version of myself. Survival mode is exhausting.
