Gosh, I’m so sorry to hear that this is happening to you. And yet you describe so well this uncomfortable intersection between fertility struggles, general anxiety, and COVID. Such an important part of the human experience, worthy of exploring. As is the necessity of asking oneself: When the odds are consistently not in your favor, for a long season of your life, how do you live a good one anyway?

Thank you so much, Ryan. And yes, that is the question: how do we make the most of each day amidst whatever disappointments, limitations, fears, and inconveniences come our way? Today, my answer to that question was to write.

Thanks Liz! It seems I made much ado about nothing, because two subsequent Covid tests came out negative, and I had no further symptoms. So either I had a dud test, or a miraculous recovery.

Snuggling a baby in the woods sounds like the most worthwhile way to get sick, and also a strange stroke of fate. These germs are tricky!
