This is so so hard, particularly the uncertainty and emotional rollercoaster. Grieving the loss of a life that might have been is so very real. Good for you for doing that under the stars, surrounded by things that nourish you.
As you know, I’m also thinking about endings this week, and was reading the charming book “Things to Look Forward to” this week. This line spoke to me this week, as a reminder that ending one chapter opens a new one.
“… Taking the last tablet in a course of antibiotics, allowing you to resume your evening cocktail. Reading the last sentence of a book, staggering across the marathon finish line, ending a relationship that has run its course. Finishing something means you can begin again, and that’s something to look forward to.”
